Frequently asked questions

Do I need a CDL?

No. If you own a cargo van, Sprinter, pickup, or kei truck and can drive it in the city, you qualify — no commercial license required for the city-bound freight leg.

What vehicles qualify?

Cargo vans, Sprinter vans, pickups, and kei/KTR trucks all qualify. Xargo moves the city-bound last leg on these smaller vehicles, so large trucks and big rigs are not eligible.

How and when do I get paid?

You keep 90% of every completed run — Xargo's cut is a flat 10%, with the full run and the exact pay shown before you accept. Payouts go to your own account through secure transfers.

Where does Xargo operate?

Xargo runs scheduled B2B freight across New York City (all five boroughs) and New Jersey.

Do I need my own insurance?

You operate as an independent owner-operator with your own vehicle and coverage. Xargo verifies your details during onboarding and supports you as part of a vetted, insured network.
